Cinemagraphs!!!!

 

My cinemagraphs are finally done. Although it didn’t take that long to think of and take the pictures, it takes a while to actually get everything in order. For me the problem came with the fact that when my pictures were taken, the camera would move. I had to match up the background and the trees around me to make it look alright. It was difficult but a fun project! I really enjoyed being able to take a photo and adding my own to it or make it different even thought it was already taken about a year or so ago. It’s funny that in one picture you can see me about a year ago and then I am in the photo frame a year later. It doesn’t show much of a change, but it can very funny at times! Hope you all enjoy!

Cinemagraphs

So today we start a week long project on cinemagraphs! We have to take a still picture and make it move in only one aspect. So It will be difficult, but I am up for the challenge!



First up is the picture frame. My plan for this picture is to replace the frame with an animation of me ducking behind a tree or something. I kinda like the natural setting so thats what it will be. Hopefully all Ill need is the woods around here and my trusty old Photoshop~

Second is the lights. I plan on taking them an having one flicker on and off. This idea was given to me by a friend and I thought it would be awesome to make their idea real. So here we are. I already started playing with it and mostly all I have to do is copy the light and make it brighter and darker~ Simple enough!

We all know that I cant draw very well, so Im sorry for the horrible turtles. They are pretty bad this time. :P But Hey!!!! It was fun to make them and change their colors and stuff! Hehe!

Day two on Adobe Illustrator. And its duck day now... Pens are really boring to use, but I guess I must learn everything to be good at it and find my own styles. Anyway. Here's my little rubber ducky. A little crooked and lop sided, but haha. He's cute! His name is Sir Quacks A lot Ducky!!!! Of the quackers table! Be in love!

Random Flowers

Got into illustrator today.... So yeah... Flowers on the first day. I played around with the distorts a lot. Some don’t even look like flowers, but hey. It was fun!

HALO IS HERE!!!! And guess who is obsessed!

That would be me!!! Halo four just came out and we had to do a project using ipads, so what better to draw then a Halo guy! Haha~ Note, I’m not the greatest artist in the world. And definitely not when it comes to ipads. But anyway.
1) The Idea: Again it came from me loving Halo. It’s awesome and I love it. Also Red VS Blue was a big impact. I’ve been roleplaying lately with them. It’s fun~
2) Theme: Again everything comes back to Halo. I’m obsessed at the moment and people love and hate that about me. From the first Halo is the first book, Halo, and the book Reach comes for of course Halo Reach. So the pictures are famous scenes from the games as well as the posters or advertisements. :D
3) Mood: Both of these games tend to be sad and a little gruesome. So a more serious cover with memorable pictures is a good way to express that.
4) Fonts: The Halo font seemed the most appropriate. It will catch the attention of anyone who knows what Halo is and get them interested in the books.
Note: I went a little 3D happy with thise project! Haha

HALLMARK GIFT CARDS!

 

THE NEWEST HALLMARK GIFT CARDS ARE HERE!!!!

Limiting the color schemes of each card to the original colors of the holiday is the way to go. For example, Valentine’s Day has always been red and pink. So limiting your schemes to include those colors is the best option. The original colors were picked for a reason. :) Layer styles helps make words stand out and object seem 3D so it is a useful tip in creating these new cards. Along with your own custom brushes. From the hearts to the candy corn to the ornaments to the Easter eggs. Custom brushes are the way to go to get the affect you are looking for in an easy to do way. Then the final trick is text placement of the logo of Hallmark gold crown and the actual words of the card. Usually, front and center is good, but in some cases, you want it off to the side to add an effect on the card. Such as the Valentines card. Overall, this new line of gift cards was a fun and simple project. But in the long run, tedious. It Took 3 days to make these cards, but it was well worth the trouble.

Fun with Brushes

Brushes. From particals to flowers, its easy to store an image and use ot over and over again with different colors and patterns. Its fun to make things go together, but it can be hard to find the colors that go and to make everything look good. A neat little trick is using the same color but making it brighter or darker depending on the effect you want. But once you get the hang of it, it is very easy!
